Getting Audio From Garageband Into OBS With Loopback - Mac Audio. A viewer question about how to send audio from mic to Garageband to OBS for live streaming or Zoom calls, and whether it's best to incorporate Loopback or no. Snagit 4 0 0 download free.
This isn’t exactly a podcasting related video, but since I love all things Rogue Amoeba I figured it’d be fun to talk about their recently released SoundSource 4 for macOS.
SoundSource is, in their words:
Change the volume and output device for individual apps. Adjust your Mac’s audio device settings and levels instantly, from anywhere. Even apply built-in and third-party audio effects to any audio on your Mac. It’s all possible right from your menu bar, with SoundSource.
My version: SoundSource allows you to control where audio is coming and going on your Mac.
You can watch the video above or watch it on my YouTube channel.
You can download a free trial version of SoundSource 4 from Rogue Amoeba’s website and then buy it for $29USD when you’re ready to purchase. The trial version is fully functional but audio quality starts to degrade after 20 minutes like most other Rogue Amoeba apps.
If you’re too impatient to watch a 17 minute video on a quality macOS app, then my Too Long Didn’t Watch opinion of SoundSource 4 is:
https://dygrfl.over-blog.com/2021/01/solidworks-3d-cad-software-download-free.html. If you’ve never reached for the little speaker icon in your macOS menu bar, then SoundSource 4 isn’t for you. For everyone else, I think SoundSource 4 is worth picking up to make your Mac life sound sweeter.
Give the trial version a try and I’m sure you’ll find yourself upgrading to the full version.
I love Rogue Amoeba and have used their audio software for years on my Mac. Thank you for sponsoring The Loop this week. Their new app, SoundSource, gives you powerful control over all the audio on your Mac, right from your menu bar:
Per-Application Volume Control
Change the volume of any app relative to others, and play individual apps to different audio devices. Mute your browser, or send music to one set of speakers and everything else to another.
Improve Sound Quality
Use Magic Boost and Volume Overdrive to hear your audio even in loud environments. The built-in equalizer can sweeten the sound, and more advanced users will love the ability to apply Audio Units to any audio.
Fast Device Access
All the settings your Mac’s audio devices are just a click away. Adjust input and output levels, tweak the balance, and even switch sample rates, right from your menu bar. Ancarta 2009.
One More Thing…
If you have a DisplayPort or HDMI device that fails to offer volume adjustment, SoundSource can help there too. It gives those devices a proper volume slider, and the Super Volume Keys feature makes your keyboard volume controls work as well. Neat!
